About Rachel Harris, MD

In addition to practicing general cardiology, Dr. Harris brings extensive training in advanced cardiovascular imaging.

Dr. Harris earned her medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine, Atlanta Ga. She completed a cardiac CT practicum at John Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, Md., and her internal medicine residency at Duke University Hospital, Durham, N.C. In addition, she completed a cardiovascular disease fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital, Birmingham, Ala. Dr. Harris also completed an advanced imaging fellowship at University of South Florida in Tampa, Fla. Prior to achieving her doctor of medicine degree, she earned a masters degree in public health nutrition at Loma Linda University School of Public Health, Loma Linda, Calif.
Dr. Harris holds board certification in nuclear cardiology, echocardiography and cardiac MRI. Her extensive training in reading advanced images allows her to detect and analyze many cardiac abnormalities.
