Phoebe Sumter Nurse Honored with National Award
Americus, GA | May 16, 2024 – A nurse in the labor, delivery, recovery and post-partum unit at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center received a prestigious national honor for her expertise and service. Among the distinguished list of 150 winners spanning 26 U.S. states and four countries is Shatoria Williams, RN, representing Phoebe Sumter.
The Nurses of Note program celebrates the outstanding contributions of nurses across diverse backgrounds and titles, underscoring the rich tapestry of experience within the nursing profession.

The Nurses of Note program is now in its fourth year. PerfectServe says honorees are selected from a large group of nominees and stand out for their diligence, passion, leadership, and devotion to caring for others.

Williams is originally from Milledgeville, GA and received her nursing degree from Albany State University. She has worked at Phoebe Sumter for three years.
