The PFMR Class of 2028, composed of seven recent medical school graduates, was officially introduced to the Albany community in a celebration that highlighted the importance of their role in the region’s healthcare future.

Over the next three years, these residents will train under the guidance of experienced faculty, rotate through a variety of specialties, and provide care to patients at Phoebe hospitals and Phoebe Primary Care at Northwest.

“This ceremony is more than a tradition—it’s a declaration of our commitment to growing the next generation of physicians right here in southwest Georgia. We want these residents to know they are not just joining a program; they’re joining a family and a community that values their presence and their purpose,” said Scott Steiner, President & CEO of Phoebe Putney Health System.Residents and Scott Steiner
