Residency Program Requirements:

Applications to the Phoebe Family Medicine Residency Program will be accepted only from participants in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Please note: Do not submit applications via email or fax. You may APPLY HERE.

A completed application should include the following information.

Resident Program Requirements:

A complete ERAS application for our residency program should consist of the following:

  • Graduation date from medical school preferred within the past three years.
  • US citizenship or permanent resident of the US – we do not sponsor or accept any visas.
  • Three Letters of Recommendation written within the past year by U.S. physicians you have worked with clinically.
  • Personal Statement
  • Medical School Transcript
  • Competitive score on USMLE or equivalent COMLEX
  • Medical School Performance Evaluation (MSPE)
  • Applicants must have current, substantial and credible hands-on US clinical experience. Observerships do not apply.
  • ECFMG Certificate, if applicable

In addition, please note the following:

  • Criminal background checks and drug screens are performed on all potential employees.
  • All applicants must be able to meet the medical licensure requirements in the State of Georgia;
  • Candidates must meet all federal standards as may be required by centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) or other federal and state regulatory agencies. Applicants who are designated by CMS as “excluded providers” shall not be eligible to appointment as a resident
  • Interviews for 2022-2023 will be conducted solely in-person. We would love for you to come see our beautiful city for yourself.
