Katherine Council
Director, Phoebe Sumter Foundation
Katherine Council has served as Director of the Phoebe Sumter Foundation since 2019.
She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from Kennesaw State University, a Master of Public Administration in Nonprofit Management from Valdosta State University, and holds the Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) credential.
Outside of her work with the Foundation, Katherine is actively involved in the community, having served in various roles with organizations such as the One Sumter Economic Development Foundation, Junior Service League of Americus, the Georgia Association of Development Professionals, and the Rotary Club of Americus.
Katherine, along with her husband, Colby and their three children stay busy with all that Sumter community has to offer through local organizations and activities.
