About Mark Cohen, MD

Dr. Cohen is an interventional cardiologist and serves as medical director of cardiology at Phoebe. In addition to diagnosing and caring for your cardiovascular system, Dr. Cohen has additional specialized training to perform catheterization and other minimally invasive procedures. These approaches can clear blocked arteries, correct congenital heart abnormalities and repair heart valves.

After earning his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine, he completed and internship and residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital, Dallas, Tex. In addition, he completed a cardiology fellowship at the University of Alabama. Dr. Cohen is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and interventional cardiology.
He served as assistant professor of medicine in cardiovascular disease at Medical College of Va. for four years prior to entering private practice. An interventional cardiologist for more than 30 years, he has a special interest in complex high risk percutaneous coronary interventions, chronic total occlusion of coronary arteries, and structural heart repairs.
