Pancreatic Cancer (DRAFT)
Pancreatic cancer targets the pancreas, an abdominal gland essential for digestion. Common symptoms include nausea, bloating, fatigue, jaundice, and decreased appetite. Early detection is challenging, leading to lower survival rates.
Types of Pancreatic Cancers We Treat:
Pancreatic tumors primarily fall into two categories:
- Exocrine tumors: Adenocarcinoma forms in the cells lining your organs and is the most prevalent, constituting over 90% of all pancreatic tumors.
- Neuroendocrine tumors (NETs): These make up less than 10% of pancreatic tumors and are sometimes referred to as islet cell carcinomas.
Treatment
Typically, treatment options encompass surgical procedures, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy.
