Phoebe North Diagnostic Imaging Services

Imaging Services at the North Campus is committed to serving the community with quality patient care through the modalities of diagnostic radiology, mammography, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, CT and MRI scanning.

PACS

The North Campus offers the most highly-trained staff 24-hours, seven days a week. Utilizing state-of-the-art technology provides optimal results to patients. Imaging has enhanced its capabilities by utilizing the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). With PACS, testing results are available for physicians to view immediately after they are taken. The scans can be viewed on a secure Web site from any computer whether the physician is in the hospital, the office, in an operating room or at home.

In addition to making diagnosis and treatment planning much simpler for physicians, PACS provides benefits for patients. The clarity of the images means less need to repeat tests, so patients experience less exposure to radiation from certain scans. PACS also eliminates transporting films to and from physician offices.

Digital Mammography

The North Campus also offers state-of-the-art digital mammography technology. The system has the capability to perform both screening and diagnostic procedures. It offers improved patient comfort for both mammography screens and biopsies.

With digital mammography, the magnification, orientation, brightness, and contrast of the mammogram image has the ability to be altered to help the radiologist see certain areas of the breast more clearly, resulting in faster exams and fewer repeat mammograms.
