On the campus of Phoebe Sumter Medical Center, we are building a cross country trail that will provide both a short wellness trail near the hospital and a large event space and longer cross country trail for use by the Phoebe Sumter employees and visitors and the community. The project has already raised $250,000 from generous donations and sponsorships from local contributors and businesses and lead gifts from the Mattie H. Marshall Foundation, Phoebe Sumter Employees, the Junior Service League of Americus, and the Phoebe Sumter Foundation.
Other Naming Sponsors include:
- Nutrien, Inc.
- Citizens Bank of Americus
- Southland Academy
- South Georgia Technical College
- Phoebe Sumter Emergency Department
- Georgia Southwestern State University
- Dr. Ben Andrews Family
- Four Seasons Garden Club
- Phoebe Sumter Auxiliary
Individual sponsors who donate to the project are recognized at the beginning of the trail on Odom Road. Please consider giving to the MHM Cross Country Trail fund for ongoing maintenance and expansion of the trail to continue to provide a safe, fun community asset to increase physical activity and community health and wellness.
