Phoebe Specialty Pharmacy Awarded Full URAC and ACHC Accreditation

Albany, GA | March 19, 2026 – Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital’s Specialty Pharmacy recently earned full accreditation from the two premier, independent nonprofit organizations that accredit specialty pharmacies, ensuring they meet rigorous national quality and safety standards.

URAC granted the 3-year designation following a comprehensive evaluation under the Specialty Pharmacy Version 5.0 Program. The committee’s decision confirms that Phoebe’s Specialty Pharmacy demonstrates strong compliance with URAC’s rigorous standards for quality, patient safety, and operational effectiveness.

During the reaccreditation review process, URAC evaluated multiple areas within the specialty pharmacy program, including risk management, pharmacy operations, patient service, medication distribution, and consumer protection. Phoebe received high marks across key categories, reflecting its ongoing commitment to clinical excellence and patient‑centered care.

PPMH’s Pharmacy Program was also approved for 3-year accreditation by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) following a successful review. ACHC determined that Phoebe’s pharmacy operations meet its nationally recognized standards for quality, integrity, and effectiveness.

Together, the dual accreditations highlight Phoebe’s comprehensive approach to pharmacy excellence and regulatory compliance.

The Phoebe Specialty Pharmacy serves patients with complex medical needs, and chronic/routine medication needs, ensuring they receive timely access to therapy, ongoing support, and high‑touch service.
