Phoebe Sumter Hosts Fresh Produce Giveaway to Celebrate National Recognition

Americus, GA | September 17, 2024 – Phoebe Sumter Medical Center will host a Fresh Produce Giveaway as part of the hospital’s celebration of being named the 2024 Most Beautiful Hospital in the U.S. by Soliant. The produce distribution will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 21 at the Sumter County Emergency Operations Center at 901 Adderton Street in Americus.

“We won the Most Beautiful Hospital contest because of the amazing support of the great people in our community. We are honored to serve the people of Sumter County and beyond, and this event is one of the ways we can express our gratitude,” said Marcus Johnson, Phoebe Sumter’s Community Outreach Coordinator.

The Fresh Produce Giveaway, hosted in partnership with Healthy Sumter and Flint River Fresh and is part of Phoebe Sumter’s commitment to improving the overall health and wellness of the community. The event is open to anyone on a first-come, first-served basis. Residents are encouraged to stop by and take advantage of free fresh produce while supplies last.

Phoebe Sumter is proud to give back to the community that has supported the hospital in achieving this prestigious national designation for a second time, having previously won the title from Soliant Health in 2015.
