Phoebe Sumter to Host Children’s Health Fair in Americus

Americus, GA | July 17, 2025 – Phoebe Sumter Medical Center will host an upcoming Children’s Health Fair, a community-focused event offering free health screenings and family friendly activities, on Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will take place at The Columns Building at Boone Park, 408 Rucker Street in Americus.

This fun and informative health fair is open to children ages 5 to 17, with free screenings for weight, Body Mass Index (BMI), and blood pressure. In addition to health checks, families can enjoy music, games, and a healthy lunch provided to all participating children.

“We are committed to the health and well-being of the children in our community. Events like this are an important way to reach families and provide the tools they need to support healthy lifestyles,” said Carlyle Walton, Phoebe Sumter Medical Center President.

Attendees will also receive:

• Free fruit & vegetable boxes (1 per family, while supplies last) in partnership with Healthy Sumter and Flint River Fresh
• Free back-to-school supplies (while supplies last) in partnership with Walmart and Zeta Phi Beta, Inc.
