2026 HEART Tax Credit Limits
All Georgia taxpayers are eligible to participate in HEART, with 100% of the contribution qualifying as a state income tax credit, up to these limits (January 1–June 30):
- Individual Filer: up to $5,000
- Married Filing Separately: up to $5,000
- Married Filing Jointly: up to $10,000
- Individual Owner of a Pass-Through Entity NOT paying tax at the entity level: up to $25,000
- C Corporation, Trust, or Pass-Through Entity electing to pay tax at the entity level: up to 75% of annual Georgia tax liability
After June 30, as long as credits remain within the statewide annual cap of $100 million, individual taxpayers may contribute unlimited amounts to eligible rural hospitals and receive a corresponding 100% Georgia income tax credit.

- Vital Sign Monitors – provides instant insights into a patient’s core body functions (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, oxygen levels), enabling early detection of health deterioration, guiding diagnosis and treatment, supporting chronic disease management, improving patient safety through early warnings, and enhancing healthcare efficiency by allowing remote or concurrent monitoring, ultimately helping to prevent complications and guide interventions
- GI Scopes – visualizes the digestive tract to diagnose, screen for, and treat issues like ulcers, IBD, polyps, and cancer, offering minimally invasive assessment and intervention for better outcomes, better than general imaging
- OR Video Monitors – enhances surgical education (training students/surgeons), improving quality & safety (unbiased records for review/legal issues, identifying best practices), and boosting communication/efficiency (explaining procedures, training staff remotely)

- Endoflip System – diagnoses and guides treatment for swallowing disorders by measuring esophageal pressure and size simultaneously providing functional insights into how the esophagus works, reducing diagnostic uncertainty, and enhancing patient outcomes
- Da Vinci Surgical Robot – enables less invasive, more precise, and complex surgeries through robotic assistance, leading to significant patient benefits like smaller incisions, less pain, reduced blood loss, shorter hospital stays, and faster recovery
- Hicuity Tele-ICU Services – technology, and evidence-based protocols, that address the key issues faced by ICUs, respond to ICU’s unique needs, and help provide the highest standard of care to patients
- Mako Orthopedic Robot – assist orthopedic surgeons in performing personalized knee and hip replacement surgeries, creating precise 3D plans from CT scans for better implant placement, potentially leading to less pain, faster recovery, and improved implant longevity
- Bariatric Beds – provides essential safety, comfort, and dignity for larger patients by handling significantly higher weight capacities and offering wider frames, preventing falls and bed failure, while adjustable features (height, position) reduce pressure sores, improve mobility, and make caregiving safer and more efficient for staff
- Oncology Pharmacy Enhancement – ensures treatment safety, efficacy, and patient support, managing complex regimens, side effects, and oral therapies, while also educating patients, collaborating with oncologists, and navigating financial/operational challenges, ultimately improving outcomes and quality of life across the entire treatment journey
