About Scott Johnson, MD

Dr. Johnson brings decades of experience and knowledge in performing both cardiac and thoracic surgery.

Dr. Johnson earned his bachelor's degree from Emory University, in Atlanta and his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine, Durham, North Carolina. In addition, he completed a general surgery residency and a thoracic surgery fellowship from Duke University Medical Center. His post-graduate training also includes biochemistry research at Emory University, as well as research at the nuclear cardiac laboratory and cardiac physiology laboratory of  Duke University Medical Center.

Dr. Johnson is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.
