Life at Work and the Phoebe Family

The Phoebe Family Medicine Residency Program has a warm, friendly working environment that builds long-lasting relationships, and fosters professional growth. Building relationships with people you can relate to is important. Through planned, social activities, residents have the opportunity to develop these relationships. These relationships, together with the professional support of the Phoebe staff, is why many have chosen to stay in the area after their residency is complete.

On day one, our new residents are introduced to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital and the City of Albany. Local leaders and hospital staff host “Media Day,” a special ceremonial day welcoming residents with open arms. From that day forward, they are considered members of the Phoebe family. They play an integral role in a residency program that has a national reputation as an outstanding training ground for family medicine physicians.

Your career at Phoebe will allow you to apply learned skills, explore new paths and advance into greater opportunities.
