Thammi Ramanan, MD, brings enhanced expertise in cutting-edge interventional procedures to address defects that can weaken the heart’s walls, valves and muscles known as structural heart disease. Dr. Ramanan’s special interests include percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), percutaneous valve repair, congenital heart disease, patent foramen ovale closure, high-risk PCI, Watchman LAA closure, MitaClip, ventricular and atrial septal defect closures.
Dr. Ramanan earned her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, East Lansing, OH. She completed an internal medicine residency at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH. In addition, she completed a general cardiology fellowship, an interventional cardiology fellowship, and a combined advanced interventional fellowship, structural and peripheral fellowship at University at Buffalo, Buffalo, NY.
